TODAY, GOD AND I HAD A MEETING

This morning, I woke up much earlier than usual.

With a mug of coffee, I sat quietly on the back porch.

Outside, birds chirped, and squirrels chased each other through the tree branches. Inside, emotions, memories, and questions ran through me...

Why can't human beings have the joy and energy of these birds and squirrels?

In the cool of the morning, filled with emotions, memories, and questions, I felt alone...

But when I lifted up my eyes to heaven, God was present: in my mind, He and I had a meeting...

The conversation had no sounds or audible words, like sap that runs silently from the tree trunk to the branches… and the immediate result nourished my being.

God made me realize I don't need all the answers: what matters is the meeting, the prayer, the certainty of His Presence.

Morning, afternoon, or night, sleeping or awake, He nourishes me... and for that I am grateful!

“ Unto You I lift up my eyes,

O You who dwell in the heavens.
Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters,

As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,

So our eyes look to the Lord our God,
Until He has mercy on us.

Psalm 123:1-2

New King James Version

...

“I am the vine, you are the branches.

He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

John 15:5

New King James Version
