 TODAY, GOD AND I HAD A MEETING This morning, I woke up much earlier than usual. With a mug of coffee, I sat quietly on the back porch. Outside, birds chirped, and squirrels chased each other through the tree branches. Inside, emotions, memories, and questions ran through me... Why can't human beings have the joy and energy of these birds and squirrels? In the cool of the morning, filled with emotions, memories, and questions, I felt alone... But when I lifted up my eyes to heaven, God was present: in my mind, He and I had a meeting... The conversation had no sounds or audible words, like sap that runs silently from the tree trunk to the branches… and the immediate result nourished my being. God made me realize I don't need all the answers: what matters is the meeting, the prayer, the certainty of His Presence. HOJE, EU E DEUS TIVEMOS UMA REUNI ÃO   Hoje de manhã, acordei bem mais cedo do que de costume. Com a caneca de café, fui me sentar bem quieta na varanda dos fundos. Lá fora, pássaros cantavam e esquilos perseguiam uns aos outros pelos galhos das árvores. Aqui dentro, emoções, mem ó rias e indagações me perpassavam... Por que os seres humanos não conseguem ter a alegria e a energia desses pássaros e esquilos? No frescor da manhã, povoada de emoções, mem ó rias e indagações, senti-me só... Mas, quando ergui meus olhos para o céu, Deus se fez presente: em minha mente, Ele e eu tivemos uma reunião... A conversa foi sem sons ou palavras audíveis, como seiva que corre silenciosa do tronco da árvore para os ramos... e o resultado imediato nutriu meu ser. Deus me fez perceber que não preciso de todas as respostas: o que importa é a reunião, a oração, a certeza da Sua Presença. De manhã, de tarde ou de noite, dormindo ou acordada, Ele me nutre... e por isso eu sou grata! “ Ó Senhor...

Yes, today is Valentine’s Day in the USA. A day marked with expressions of love and affection, especially romantic love. A time of reflection for the single and the married. A reminder of how decisions matter and how our choices can alter our lives forever. As Christians, married or not, we ought to be first and foremost thankful to God for the life He has given us and abide in Him, as the branches are connected to the vine. The moment we were redeemed by Jesus Christ’s blood sacrifice on the cross, we received the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, Who is one with Jesus (The Son) and The Father. At that very instant, our bodies became the Temple of God, and God in us is the most important reason to celebrate LOVE each day … If you are single, know that the Lord understands loneliness, and He does not want anyone to be alone: someone is out there, especially made for you! Our wonderful Creator knows the desires of your heart and wants you to become one flesh with that specia...
