Paradigms of HI and AI: Human Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence
Mankind, with its peculiar characteristics, never ceases to amaze me. Looking back into primitive societies, I can’t help but notice how far we have come in all our artistic works, discoveries, and knowledge.
The human brain, in its intricate neurochemical and physiological pathways, is our natural command center for experiencing reality, learning, and expanding our skills, from basic survival to complex and luxurious lifestyles.
It is paramount to reflect on what being human means and how we came to be. To dive into those considerations, we must go back to the origin and creation of mankind and the universe.
The more we learn about ourselves and other creatures, the more we realize there is an Intelligent Design or source from which all we see and experience originates. From DNA to galaxies, there is no haphazard or accidental creation.
This Intelligent Design and source of all creation is an Intelligent Creator. And I believe this Intelligent Creator is God.
God, the Creator, has created human beings in His own image. We, as creatures created by The Creator, reflect His mind, feelings, emotions, and creativity.
One of our latest technological developments is AI, also known as Artificial Intelligence.
AI has revolutionized and even surpassed our achievements in many ways, due to its ever-increasing capabilities of processing huge volumes of data and artificially ‘learning’ from it, thereby constantly improving programmed tasks and producing vertiginously better performance and outcomes.
Indeed, since computers were created, we have been aware of our limitations. Our brains cannot hold and process so much data. And we are also limited by the challenges and hardships of our circumstances.
But how does AI play into our reality? Will it take a life of its own and ultimately replace humans?
The answer, my friend, is given to us by the One and Only Intelligent Creator of everything: God. And how do I know that?
I believe God communicates with us in many ways: through His creation, visions, dreams, and, above all, through His Word, The Holy Bible.
No Artificial Intelligence can replace or impersonate our perfectly well-designed Human Intelligence, which is one of our God-given treasures and irreplaceable blessings.
We will always be more valuable than robots, chatbots, self-driven vehicles, or any other 'deep learning' sources that are artificially programmed! Neither Semantics nor seemingly well-written texts can ever replace the humans who created them, as we humans can never replace the One who created us.
Imagine yourself taking a test in the presence of a proctor: no cell phones, laptops, or earbuds. No Artificial Intelligence! Nothing but you, your brain, your heart, and the test before you. No cheating: whether you have learned and trained for the test or not. The truth and the outcome will depend on you and the choices you make.
You see, it is up to us to perceive, discern, and embrace the truth.
Our best defense against any misuse or weaponization of AI is to continue to learn, experience, and create. To never become complacent or dishonest.
What I write here has been created by my true self and inspired by God, my Intelligent Creator!
In the trials and storms of life, when push comes to shove, there is one thing AI can never take from us: who we naturally are, what we know, and what we believe. For there is One who searches our hearts, minds, and souls. And His Word shows us that the ultimate test is coming, and it is coming soon.
Though life on this planet continues to change and chaos ensues, our final destiny and hope will be determined by our choice to believe(or not)that there is eternal life after this short and imperfect existence.
Eternal life is for all of us human beings, but where we will spend eternity will not be the same for everyone. The same free will we have received from our Intelligent Designer is the tool we must use to choose our eternal destination.
All I can do is testify that the only intelligent and wise way into the eternal presence of our loving Creator is Jesus Christ!
Do you choose to believe?
For it is written in the Word of God (KJV):
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
1 Corinthians 1:19
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
2 Thessalonians 2:2
That ye be not soon shaken in mind or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
1 Timothy 6:5
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 1:13
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1 Corinthians 2:16
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
