GRACE
We just watched a movie on Inspiration Channel last Sunday about people in the late 1700s who dedicated their whole lives to fighting Slave Trade in the British Empire - and ultimately it was legally abolished in 1807. The name of the movie is 'Amazing Grace' (http://www.amazinggracemovie.com/.
We are all sinners....... Sin is sin!
And it is God's AMAZING GRACE, as the hymn declares, "that saved a wretch like me"... and all sinners!
"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me...
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.
T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils, and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.
The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.
When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me...
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see."
The beauty of being a sinner is the possibility
of being redeemed by Jesus' blood - thus becoming HIS most powerful witnesses,
who can give the most touching testimonies...
Like the apostle Paul, we can extend God's word and grace to others!!!
To love them, bring them hope!!!
And to know that we can rely on God's promises:
He has promised good to us...
And we know that "Grace will lead us home"!
HOME: our hearts, HIS TEMPLE, and ultimately HEAVEN)!!!
Thank you, Lord, for abiding in me!
May the doors of my heart be always open, so others can always come in and be in Your Presence!!!
I am humbly grateful for your AMAZING GRACE, JESUS!
Amen.
